Floor Model Inspector - Look Under Vehicles

The Inspector is an original multi-faceted security tool which permits officers to look under vehicles for the detection of bombs, narcotics and contraband which can be located in obscure places. For dark areas, illumination is provided by light reflected off of the convex mirror.

Operating Instructions
  1. Plug in battery charger. Charge both removable batteries.
  2. Remove extension handle from undercarriage Velcro holders.
  3. Release short handle from undercarriage handle snap.
  4. Attach extension handle by screwing it into short handle.
  5. Carefully remove protective film from convex mirror so as not to scratch surface.
  6. Insert charged battery into power socket.
  7. To turn unit on, lift red safety cover (power socket) and flip toggle switch up. Lights should immediately illuminate. To turn off, simply push down on red safety cover.
  8. Flood lights are adjustable by slightly loosening both side knobs.
  9. Select desired position for lights and best illumination (by using a test vehicle), then tighten both side knobs on each light firmly. Do not over tighten.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
  1. Clean Plexiglass mirror and light lens with quality liquid plastic lens cleaner and a soft clean cloth or soft paper tissue. Care should be taken not to scratch surface with jewelry (rings or watches) or other items. Canned compressed air May be convenient in dusty locations.
  2. When not in use, Plexiglass mirror should be covered with any brand plastic wrap to keep surface clean and avoid scratches.
  3. Surface of Inspector may be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Power base and charger may be blown out with compressed air.
  4. If unit not in use, remove extended handle. Snap in small handle (undercarriage) and Velcro in extended handle. Store in carrying bag. Do not place items on top of bag/Plexiglass mirror.

The Inspector is an original multi-faceted security tool which permits officers to look around corners or over walls without exposing themselves. The Inspector also facilitates the detection of bombs, narcotics and contraband which can be located in obscure places. For dark areas, illumination is provided by light reflected off of the convex mirror.

The Standard model is designed to be utilized with any "D" cell size flashlight which can be snapped on or removed easily. The flashlight provided with the Inspector comes equipped with a circuit breaker which separates a broken bulb from the battery source instantly. Ignition of an explosion in hazardous atmospheres can start with a cracked or broken flashlight bulb that remains glowing (U.L. approved for hazardous locations; MSHA approved).

Construction: 5 inch convex mirror; mounted on 7/8" tubular rod; sturdy clips to hold flashlight; 3 "D" cell flashlight.
